Iren Group – The Challenge

We wanted to be present at the Giffoni Film Festival because we believe that the language of cinema and images can be a useful tool for conveying fundamental values to children for the future of our planet – Renato Boero, President of Iren Group.

Sustainability, circular economy and all-round creativity are the themes at the heart of the short film La Challenge”, an initiative of the Iren Group and produced by Giffoni Innovation Hub and Unitalia.

The short was presented during the seventh edition of Next Generation, the event on the world of innovation organized by Giffoni Innovation Hub and received the support of Procida Capital of Culture 2022.

The main characters of the short film are the actors Gigi Savoia, Viviana GenteRoberta Misticone and the young Gennaro Filippone, who already appeared in the hit Netflix series, “Generation 56K”.

The short film translates, both in the production techniques and in the messages it wishes to transfer, some of the main assets of Iren’s mission, which makes sustainability and the circular economy applied to all the businesses in which the Group operates, the guiding star of its path of growth and development, focused on the conscious and efficient use of resources. Also essential points of the activity of Giffoni Innovation Hub, which with its Dream Team project launched a challenge in the sector of sustainability and innovation to 18 talents under 30.

The short film was presented during the Giffoni Impact in the presence of Renato Boero and Gianni Vittorio Armani, respectively President and CEO of the Iren Group, to the #Giffoni50Plus jurors and Giffoni Dream Team members. Together with them also the actors of the short film and the director of photography, Francesco Morra.

Being sustainable also means culturally educating citizens through new languages and new approaches.
